Director of Nursing
Brief info
Bobbi Jo found her passion for nursing as a young girl sitting on her Nana’s lap while her grandmother studied for her LPN. At 4 years old she would visit the staff at Royal Oak and her grandmother would have her demonstrate to everyone her pulse points and recite the pathway of blood through the heart. Bobbi Jo’s grandmother, Pat Blanyar, was a nurse mentor at RONC for over 30 years, and she has always followed in her prestigious footsteps. Bobbi Jo jokes with everyone that she literally grew up at Royal Oak Nursing Center. She would later volunteer at Royal Oak throughout her school age years and also career shadowed nurses while in high school. She has a genuine passion for geriatric nursing. She worked as a C.N.A at Royal Oak promptly after high school and continued on this path while she completed the LPN program at Erwin Technical. She continued to further her education and obtained her RN at now Pasco Hernando State College. Bobbi Jo’s ambitious nature allowed her to work everywhere from direct care, unit manager, restorative, risk management, QAPI Coordinator, MDS, ADON and DON, over a total of 18 years. She pursued an opportunity in 2018 to trial home health nursing while continuing to serve the Pasco County community with Mission Home Care. She worked as a field clinician then quickly moved into a leadership role as Administrator, over the span of 5 years. She was recently called back home to Royal Oak Nursing Center, and has since happily returned to her role as Director of Nursing in June of 2023.
